Pressure measurement
The main principles
The atmospheric pressure is the force caused by the weight of the atmosphere on the ground : at a given location, the pressure force is equal to the force exerted by an air column, going up from the bottom to the top of the atmosphere.
The pressure thus decreases with the height following a vertical line. The law on the variation of pressure according to the altitude follows approximately a logarithmic function.
In order to make a comparison between recorded pressures easier, meteorologists use, as a reference base, a calculation based on the measurements of pressure brought back to sea level.
The sensors used for measuring atmospheric pressure are barometers..
Our advantages
To measure pressure DEGREANE HORIZON uses digital barometers which have been made by famous manufacturers, and which have, for the most part, been validated by international meteorological services.
Our range of barometers means we can meet very varied needs.
The barometers in our range can be directly linked to a pressure gauge from the INT 300 range which replace the INT 96 ones.
Quelques conseils
La prise d’air du baromètre
doit être protégée de la pluie, de la poussière
et des perturbations atmosphériques pouvant influer sur la mesure
(vent, climatisation…). Attention aux vibrations qui altèrent
les mesures effectuées par un baromètre.
