The main principles
The integrated meteorological observation system for airports (SIOMA) offered by DEGREANE HORIZON can be adapted using different modules. It is in accordance with the latest WMO and ICAO standards.
SIOMA is perfect for the small VFR airports going up to those of the big international airports in category IIId. It can easily be adjusted for new technical and operational needs.
DEGREANE HORIZON manufactures many of the SIOMA parts. Thanks to our knowledge of your needs, the quality of our equipment and service, DEGREANE HORIZON has installed SIOMA in more than 400 international airports

SIOMA is an open system
Integrated consultation of wind profiler data :
- SIOMA can automatically display observations about wind high up and gives warnings about shears coming from the wind profiler PCL 1300 (three-dimensional measurement of wind in real time).
Integrated consultation of meteorological radar images :
- The SIOMA station can display radar transmitted data via the radar treatment system SANAGA.
- The SANAGA system enables the detection and the follow-up of storms, their vertical analysis and warning about hail.
