BSCOM / SURV-BSCOM
Surveillance case for switching network

The BSCOM means we can verify if a telephone line of the public telephone network functions correctly.

Functions
This test is done by means of an alarm transmitter (STADh, DAATh), or an independent testing system (SURV-BSCOM). The BSCOM is connected to the PSTN and set up in the agent’s home. The system uses the principle of recognizing the telephone number of the person who has to be reached.

At each call the BSCOM verifies if the number corresponds to a number which has been memorized during configuration. If so, a test is done without activating the ringing of the telephone set. If the number shown is hidden or does not correspond to a memorized number, the BSCOM switches to “transparent” mode and activates the ringing of the telephone set. It will stay like this until the line has been released. If, after the temporisation of the test, no test for the checking of the reachability has been done, the BSCOM will activate a buzzer, as well as a LED (light emitting diode) and a defect loop.
