Protection of PSTN analogical telephone lines
BHRD baseband-group transferer
High dielectric strength box/case

The BHRD ensures the protection of telecom installation of PSTN against the effects of electric power surge which results from an electric incident. This incident might have taken place either in private premises,  a HV post, or a power station. Moreover, it protects the “subscribers’” installations against overvoltage coming from PSTN.

Functions
This device is installed between a telephone line and a telephone set, a meter which can be read at distance, or any other telecommunication device. The BHRD means we can transfer dialing by means of the DTMF code.   It can thus ensure the protection of calculators, modems, fax machines, counters, etc.
To ensure optimal protection, the BHRD should be installed in a device which is protected against power increase by means of surge suppressors and fuses (not delivered).
